Mysore Athletics Club Secretary and International Athlete Madappa Yogendra has been selected to represent Karnataka State in the 43rd National Masters Athletics Championships to be held at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata, from Feb. 13 to 19.
Mysuru: Madappa Yogendra, representing Karnataka State, has won Silver Medal in 2000 mts Steeplechase Running Race in the 42nd National Masters Athletics Championship organised by Masters Athletics Federation of India at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.
Madappa Yogendra, International Athlete and Superintendent of Customs & Central Tax, was awarded ‘Karnataka Ratna’ by Karnataka Samskrutika Parishat Shrushti Shakti Samsthe, Bengaluru, recently. The Award was presented by Sri Sadhvi Yogini Matha at Nayana Bhavana, Ravindra Kalakshetra, Bengaluru, on Dec. 25. K.V. Lakshman Murthy, President, Ishak Dodderi and Gunavantha Manju were present.
