Teenager dies of burn injuries

Mysore/Mysuru: A 13-year-old boy, who had sustained severe burn injuries and admitted at the burns ward of K.R. Hospital, has breathed his last at the hospital.

The deceased is Yashwanth, son of Raju and a resident of Shambunahalli in Pandavapura taluk.

On Sunday at about 11 am, Yashwanth was playing with the foam spray used in parties when the foam accidentally caught fire and engulfed Yashwanth, resulting in him sustaining about 90 percent burns.

He was rushed to K.R. Hospital in Mysuru, where he was being treated in the Burns Ward, but he breathed his last at about 6.30 am yesterday.

A case has been registered at Pandavapura Police Station.
