Youth injured in road accident succumbs

Mysore/Mysuru: A 23-year-old youth, who had sustained serious injuries in a road accident in Pandavapura taluk on Sunday and admitted to a private hospital in city, has succumbed to injuries at the hospital Monday evening.

The deceased has been identified as K. Abhishek, son of Kempegowda and a resident of Hosayelekere village in Pandavapura taluk.

On Sunday at about 7 pm, Abhishek was proceeding on his Hero Splendor Plus bike near KEB Road at Kyathanahalli in Pandavapura taluk, when he was hit by another bike, resulting in Abhishek sustaining serious injuries. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Mysuru, where he succumbed to injuries at about 4 pm on Monday.

The body was shifted to MMC&RI mortuary, where post-mortem was conducted and the body handed over to the family members. Srirangapatna Rural Police have registered a case.
