Teenager who made prank calls to Police Control Room, given a dressing down

Mysuru: In a reported incident, a mischief monger teenager, who  used to make prank calls to Police Control Room (100), was tracked by the Police and given a dressing down.

The 17- year old boy used to frequently call the Police Control Room and abuse the staff using foul language, besides misbehaving with women personnel.

The Police, who were fed up with the calls, tracked the caller and picked him up from a location in city. The teenager, who has been identified as the son of a GP Member from Periyapatna Taluk, was brought to the city Police Commissioner’s Office and was ‘educated’ against making such prank calls in the future.

The Police later let off the teenager after obtaining a written undertaking from him in the presence of his father, it is learnt.
