Set aside your self-interest and accept farmers demands: Prof. Aravind Malagatti

Mysore/Mysuru: Nele Hinnele, Mysuru, in association with Samudaya, Bengaluru, presented a street play titled ‘Olitu Maadu Manusa… Corona Sandarbhada Thallanagalu’ at various locations in city on Sunday.

Prof. Aravind Malagatti inaugurated the event at Dufferin Clock Tower by beating the drums and urged the Government to set aside its self-interest and accept farmers’ demands.

“Banging plates and lighting lamps would not defeat Coronavirus. Instead, we should take all necessary precautionary measures and this is the lesson we have learnt from this pandemic. The Corona has devastated the life of farmers but because of in-built immunity of Indians, we have won the war against this pandemic. Indian food itself has all the healing properties and medicinal benefits,” he said.

Later, Samudaya theatre troupe, comprising of 12 theatre artistes, staged the play near Dufferin Clock Tower, then in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at the Palace North Gate and near Padma Theatre.

Former Rangayana Director H. Janardhan, theatre artiste S.R. Ramesh, Workers Union leader L. Jagannath, artistes Devananda Varaprasad, K.R. Gopalakrishna of Nele Hinnele and others were present during the occasion.
