‘Install busts of Kittur Rani Chennamma & Sri Shivakumara Swamiji in Mysuru’

Veera Vanite Rani Chennamma Swayam Seva Sangha urges State Government

Mysore/Mysuru: Marking 192nd death anniversary of Kittur Rani Chennamma and second-year death anniversary of Siddaganga Seer Dr. Sri Shivakumara Swamiji, Veera Vanite Rani Chennamma Swayam Seva Sangha had organised a programme at its office premises here on Sunday. 

Newly appointed President and office-bearers for various Boards and Corporations were felicitated and new office-bearers were installed on the occasion.

Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Commissioner D.B. Natesh addressed the gathering and fondly remembered the contribution of Kittur Rani Chennamma in freedom struggle. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dr. B.S. Manjunatha Swamy also spoke on the occasion.

Later, Zoo Authority of Karnataka (ZAK) Chairman L.R. Mahadevaswamy, ZAK Member Jyothi Revanna, Karnataka State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Director S. Mahadevaswamy, Karnataka State Women and Child Development Corporation Director S. Renuka Raj, Mysuru District Minister’s Personal Assistant S. Mahadevappa and Sangha’s new President L.V. Lokesh Kumar were felicitated.

Sangha Members urged the Government to install busts of Kittur Rani Chennamma and Sri Shivakumara Swamiji in Mysuru and submitted a memorandum to the ADC.

Sangha Vice-Presidents K.V. Mallesh and K. Vasanthakumar, General Secretary Ayarahalli P. Virupaksha, Secretaries L. Mallikarjunaswamy, M. Manjunath, M.S. Uma, Chief Convenor K.S. Mahadevaprasad, Legal Advisor C.K. Rudramurthy, Treasurer S.M. Suresh and others were present during the programme.
