Theatre training workshop at Rangayana from Feb. 12

In memory of theatre greats Subbaiah Naidu and Padma Shri Nagarathnamma, the city’s theatre repertory Rangayana will be conducting a short-term (2 months) theatre workshop for youths in the age group of 18 to 35 years, starting at Rangayana premises from Feb. 12. The workshop will mainly focus on imparting acting skills and techniques, while other activities such as music, costume design, lighting, stage design, make-up etc., will also be taught. The training classes will be held daily from 5 pm till 8.30 pm. The admission fee for general category candidates is Rs. 4,000 and that for SC/ST candidates is Rs. 2,000. Those who successfully complete the 2-month training will be distributed certificates by Rangayana.

The admission will be based on an interview to take place at 10.30 am on Feb. 11.  The interested youths can attend the interview directly along with their Aadhaar card, caste certificate in respect of SC/ST candidates and other required documents. For details, contact Ph: 0821-2512629/ 39.
