Three-day Dasara Heritage Tour from Sept. 23

Mysuru: To enable tourists know more about the heritage of city during Dasara, the Department of Archaeology, Heritage and Museums has organised a three-day Heritage Tour in city commencing from Sept. 23. Minister for Kannada and Culture Umashree will launch the Heritage Walk at 6.30 am on Sept. 23 at Town Hall.

The programme will commence every day at Town Hall at 6.30 am. On Sept. 24, a tour of heritage buildings will be organised on Jawa bikes followed by a tour on ‘Trin-Trin’ bicycles on Sept. 25.

The heritage walk will pass through Silver Jubilee Clock Tower, Chamaraja Wadiyar Circle, Mysore Palace, K.R. Circle, Dufferin Clock Tower, Devaraja Market, K.R. Hospital, MMC&RI, Government Ayurveda College and Cauvery Emporium.

People who intend to participate in the heritage tour should register their names with ID before 5 pm on Sept. 16. For bicycle tour, only 75 people will be permitted.  For details, call Ph: 0821-2424671 or 673 or 674.
