Three-day ‘Dasara Kavi Goshti’ begins

Mysuru: A three-day ‘Dasara Kavi Goshti’ commenced at Rani Bahadur Auditorium in Manasaganagotri here on Friday.

About 30 young poets recited the poems composed by them which threw light on social problems, natural calamity, motherly love and other topics.

Inaugurating the programme Littérateur Dr. Hampa Nagarajaiah recited a poem composed by him explaining the Charms of a bewitching beauty amusing the audience. He also recited another poem conveying the message that a person should be praised and honoured while alive, and not after the person’s death.

He jocularly said that a microphone would mesmerise a person addicted to delivering speeches.

He also quipped that ‘Samaya Dhana’ was the greatest of all Charities.

He added that, a good Poet can convey a lot of words has its own strength proved over the last several years.

Humorist Prof. M. Krishnegowda was the chief guest.

Dasara Kavi Goshti Special Officer R. Rajanna and others were present on the occasion.
