Trilingual Vachana Gayana draws huge appreciation

Mysuru: The Trilingual Vachana Gayana by Kalaburgi-based G. Chandrakanth drew huge appreciation from the audience at the cultural event held at Kalamandira last Friday. The event was  organised as part of Dasara festivities.

He sung Basavanna’s Vachanas in Kannada, Hindi and English languages such as ‘Ullavaru Shivalaya Maduvaru’, ‘Nadapriya Shivanembuvaru’, ‘Swami Neenu Shaswatha Neenu’, ‘Kalabeda Kolabeda’ and ‘Papiyadhana Prayaschithakkallade’ in different ragas. He was accompanied by Gurushanthaiah Sthavaramath on harmonium & Veerabhadraiah Sthavaramath on tabla. JSS College retd. Principal Prof. Ramamurthy Rao, Kumarswamy and others were present.
