Three file nominations on second day

March 21, 2019

Mysuru:  Three candidates filed their nomination papers as Independents on the second day of the filing of nominations yesterday.

Srinivasaiah of Mysuru (pic. left) and P. Yadurappa of Periyapatna (pic. right) were the ones who filed their nominations yesterday. However, the third nomination of the day was a repeat nomination, as Ayub Khan who had filed his nomination as both Congress and Independent candidate on Tuesday, presented two sets of nomination papers only as an Independent candidate. So far five candidates have filed ten sets of nomination papers.

The nominations were received by Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar, who is also the District Electoral Officer and Returning Officer. The DC was assisted by Assistant Returning Officer G. Anuradha and Election Shirastedar Ramprasad.
