Three held for circulating fake currency notes

Mysuru: Mandi Police have arrested three persons while they were attempting to circulate fake currency notes on Nov. 1. 

The accused have been identified as 33-year-old S. Guruswamy, a resident of Kurubageri in Gundlupet taluk, 23-year-old Ravishankar of Gundlupet and 23-year-old Mahesh of Pandavapura in Mandya district. 

The Police said that the trio were arrested during the raid conducted in front of  S.B. Wines, on Sheshadri Iyer Road. 

The Police have seized Rs. 40,500 worth fake currency notes which included 16 currency notes of Rs. 2,000 denomination and 17 notes of Rs. 500  denomination. 

A case has been registered in this regard.
