Three held for selling antlers, horns of wild animals

H.D. Kote: The Forest Mobile Squad personnel have arrested three persons on charges of selling antlers, skulls and horns of wild animals near Karapura village in the taluk.

The arrested persons have been identified as 38-year-old Vijay, 27-year-old Raju and 33-year-old Yogesh, all from Kanakanahalli in the taluk.

The Forest Mobile Squad led by SI L.P. Harish, acting on a tip off that some persons were selling deer and elk antlers, deer skulls and horns of bison near Jungle Lodge and The Serai Resorts near Karapura,   raided the place.

The Mobile Squad seized three bags containing antlers, horns and skulls of wild animals from the accused.

The case has been transferred to H.D. Kote Regional Forest Department.

Constables M.B. Ramesh, Manjunath, Venkatachalaiah, Raghu, Narasimha Murthy and Cheluvaraju, took part in   the operation.
