Shivamogga: Three persons, including a mother and daughter duo, were killed on-the-spot and more than eight passengers were injured when the private bus in which they were travelling toppled near Ullur Cross in Sagar taluk here on Thursday. The deceased have been identified as Sujata (40), a resident of Karki of Honnavara taluk, her daughter Kirthana (12) and Mohammed Yasin (16), a resident of Palavvanahalli in Hiriyur taluk in Chitradurga district.

The bus was travelling from Honnavara to Bengaluru when the accident took place. The injured have been admitted to hospitals in Sagar and Shivamogga. A case has been registered at Sagar Rural Police Station.
