Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be presenting a vocal concert by Vid. Dr. Suchethan Rangaswamy at 6 pm on Saturday (June 17) at Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuvempunagar.    

Vid. Suchethan Rangaswamy is a well- known name in today’s music circles, who has made his mark as a classical and semi classical singer, an RJ, popular mentor of Zee TV Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa programme and an expert in voice culture who got his Doctorate for his work on voice culture. He has appeared in many impressive roles on TV serials.

Besides his mother Suma Rangaswamy, his gurus in vocal music are Vid/Vidus. Dr. Sarvamangala Shankar, M.S. Vidya, P. Rama, Dr. R.K. Srikantan and P. Unnikrishnan and T. Sharada and Dr. Suma Sudheendra in veena.

He will be accompanied on violin by Vidu. Deepa Krishnamurthy, USA, a disciple of Vid. H.K. Narasimhamurthy, who has accompanied many senior artistes and performed at prestigious platforms including Chennai Margazhi concerts.  Vid. Radhesh Ananthachar, a disciple of Vids. P.G .Lakshminarayana and Mannargudi Eswaran and Vid. S. Manjunath, a disciple of Vid. Tumkur Ravishankar will provide support on mridanga and ghata respectively.
