TMC member dies after falling from bike

Pandavapura: A Town Municipal Council (TMC) Member, who had sustained serious injuries after falling from his bike, died while being shifted to a hospital in Mysuru yesterday.

The deceased is B.Y. Babu (50), a Member of TMC Ward No. 9 and son of senior JD(S) leader K. Vyramudi Gowda.

At about 8 am yesterday, Babu was proceeding near a petrol bunk on Chamarajanagar-Bidar National Highway when he lost control of the bike and fell down resulting in him sustaining serious injuries. He was rushed to Pandavapura hospital, where he was provided treatment and was being shifted to a hospital in Mysuru, where he breathed his last midway.

A case has been registered at Pandavapura Police Station.
