Tourism Day tomorrow

September 26, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Even as COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage across the country, the Mysore Travels Association has decided to celebrate World Tourism Day tomorrow (Sept.27) in a simple, but purposeful manner.

World Tourism Day Celebration Committee President S. Abhinandan said that Mysore Travels Association will be celebrating the Day like in the previous years, but in a simple manner this year because of the spread of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

Tomorrow, all the tourists visiting the City Palace will be welcomed by giving them bouquets and sweets amidst the playing of Nadaswara, he said.

Later, the tourists will be taken in a tourist vehicle from the Southern Gate of the Palace to Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at the Palace North Gate, Abhinandan pointed out and added that the Government has been appealed to illuminate the Palace on Sunday (Sept. 27) evening to mark the occasion.
