Tourists with prior bookings can travel

Bengaluru: The State Government on Friday has clarified that tourists who have already booked their stay in hotels and resorts can travel during weekend curfew period.

According to the clarification issued by Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Secretary to the Government, Tourism Department, “Tourists booked for weekends with valid stay vouchers are permitted to travel in their cars, taxis and other means of transport. There are no restrictions for the in-house guests staying in hotels/ resorts. All facilities can be kept opened ‘ONLY’ for the in-house guests. Guests can check-in to the hotels and check-out of hotels with the proof of bookings and safari in forest areas and sanctuaries are permitted by following COVID appropriate behaviour.”
