Trader killed as goods vehicle hits scooter

Mysuru: A trader from Kudalakuppe village in Srirangapatna taluk, died of injuries after a goods vehicle hit him on Sayyaji Rao Road in city on Dec.1.

The deceased trader is K.N. Kumar. On Dec.1 at about 12 noon, Kumar, who had come to city on work, was proceeding on his scooter near the MCC office on Sayyaji Rao Road when the goods vehicle rammed into his scooter from behind resulting in Kumar falling on the road and the goods vehicle running over him.

Though he was rushed to a private hospital, Kumar breathed his last after failing to respond to the treatment, according to the Police.

K.R. Traffic Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
