Traditional puja offered to Palace cannons

City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta, along with DCPs Dr. A.N. Prakash Gowda and M.S. Geetha Prasanna, City Armed Reserve (CAR) DCP Shivaraj and ACP Sudarshan, offered traditional puja to Palace Cannons this morning. The dry training in firing the cannons will commence tomorrow and for the first time, the Dasara elephants will stay inside the Palace during the cannon firing drill rehearsal session for Dasara elephants to acclimatise with the loud sound. Usually the cannon firing drill rehearsal sessions were held at the parking lot near Varaha Gate of Mysore Palace and the Dasara elephants and Police horses are taken to the spot.
