Traffic ASI on duty assaulted

Mysuru: Padmanabha, an on-duty Traffic ASI, said to be attached to Siddarthanagar Traffic Police Station, was reportedly assaulted by a motorcyclist in Nazarbad Police limits this morning.

It is said, Padmanabha was checking for helmet-less riding and had stopped a Bullet bike (KA 55 R 0817) when the rider allegedly assaulted him.

The accused has been identified as Manish and he allegedly tore the ASI’s uniform and took the names of high profile people including politicians to escape the long arms of Law. Nazarbad Police have registered a case.
