Training for CEOs of Primary Agricultural Credit Co-op. Societies

Mysuru: Karnataka State Co-operative Federation (KSCF), Mysuru District Co-operative Union (MDCU), Mysuru and Chamarajanagar District Co-operative Central (MCDCC) Bank and Department of Co-operation, together had organised a State-level training programme for Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Primary Agricultural Credit Co-operative Societies (PACCS) at a private hotel in city on Saturday.

About 50 CEOs participated in the programme which featured Resource Persons deliberating on advancing and recovery of loans, administrative techniques with digital transaction and new technologies.

Inaugurating the programme, District Co-operative Union President H.V. Rajeev said that floods from recent rains have affected half the State and added that the District Co-operative sector proposes to contribute Rs.2.5 crore to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help the flood victims. He pointed out that the Co-operative sector has a good social concern.

Continuing, Rajeev said that the District has 185 PACCS which are basically farmer-friendly. He contended that farm loans to a tune of Rs.430 crore have been waived. He asked the CEOs to advocate modern technology for better administration and easy access to records. He further asked the participating officials to come out with good proposals to benefit the farmers.

MDCU Vice-President B.N. Sadanand, Director T.P. Boregowda, Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies Dr. G. Umesh and other were present during the occasion.
