Police recover gold chain from the accused
Mysore/Mysuru: Vijayanagar Police have arrested a transgender on charges of threatening a youth and extorting a 23-gram gold chain from the youth. The Cops have recovered the gold chain from the transgender.
On Nov. 7 at about 7.40 pm, the transgender, who threatened the youth at Kaimatte Junction in Vijayanagar 4th Stage, had made away with the gold chain of the youth, following which the youth had lodged a complaint with Vijayanagar Police on Nov. 9.
A special Police team was formed to nab the transgender and the special Police team, based on the information, arrested the transgender near RMP Junction in Vijayanagar 4th Stage and recovered the gold chain.
DCP (Crime and Traffic) S. Jahnavi and Vijayanagar Sub-Division ACP Gajendraprasad guided Vijayanagar Inspector S.D. Sureshkumar, Sub-Inspectors K. Vishwanath and K. Narayana and staff K.N. Manjunath, Sanjay Pawar and Appanna Devadiga in the nabbing & recovery operation.
