Trin-Trin cycle thief arrested

Mysuru: Ashokapuram Police have cracked the ‘Trin-Trin’ cycle theft case with the arrest of a person from Srirangapatna.

The arrested has been identified as Nagendra, 38, of Srirangapatna.

Acting on a tip off, the Police traced the accused, Nagendra and caught him red-handed at Srirangapatna when he was found riding the ‘Trin-Trin’ cycle which was stolen by him from a docking station near Dr. Ambedkar Park in Ashokapuram.

The theft of two ‘Trin-Trin’ cycles on Mar.17 had caused headache to the city Police. The Police, who scrutinised CCTV footages, identified the accused and succeeded in nabbing Nagendra. Following the arrest, Nagendra was produced before a city Magistrate, who handed him over to Judicial custody.
