Truck driver succumbs to injuries at K.R. Hospital

Mysore/Mysuru: A truck driver, who was hit by a scooter on Mar. 4 at about 8 pm and admitted to K.R. Hospital, has succumbed to injuries at the hospital on Mar. 5.

The deceased has been identified as Dharmendra Kumar (41) from Agra in Uttar Pradesh. He, along with one Mukesh Kumar, had left Agra on Mar. 1 with a truck load of chemicals and had arrived at Mysuru on Mar. 4.

After unloading the goods at Hootagalli Industrial Area on Mar. 4, Dharmendra had parked the truck near the weighing bridge and was crossing the road to go to a hotel for dinner near Hinkal Flyover when one Chandan, who was riding a scooter (KA-09-HW-6802), rammed into Dharmendra, injuring him seriously.

Though Dharmendra was admitted to K.R. Hospital, he succumbed to injuries at about 9.50 am on Mar. 5.

V.V. Puram Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
