Truck owners demand linkage to Ring Road

Mysuru: Extending support to the nation-wide strike by lorry owners which commenced yesterday, Railway Goods Shed Lorry Owners Association has threatened of an indefinite strike if Railways did not permit the formation of the road linking Railway Goods Shed and Ring Road.

Stating this in a press release, Association President Abdul Khader Shahid said that the existing connecting road from Goods Shed to Ring Road via Gumnam Shawali Darga was in a very bad state damaging the lorries. He added that though MUDA had sanctioned money to link Goods Shed with Ring Road, Railways had not given the consent.
