Two arrested for attempting to rape minor girls

Mysuru: N.R. Police, on Sunday, have arrested two persons on charges of attempt to rape minor girls.

The arrested are 30-year-old Kaizer and 53-year-old Jaishivamadeva, both residents of Subashnagar in city.

It is alleged that, Jaishivamadeva, on Saturday lured two minor girls, who were playing in front of the house, to a park, where he tried to rape them, Kaizer, who saw the incident, threatened Jaishivamadeva and chased him away.

But Kaizer, later blackmailed the girls and attempted to rape them. Members of the public, who came to know about this, caught hold of Kaizer and handed him over to N.R. Police.

Based on the written complaint by the parents of the girls, N.R. Police, who registered a case in this regard, arrested the accused and produced them before the Magistrate, who remanded them to Judicial custody, according to the Police.
