Two arrested for illegal sale of Railway E-tickets

Mysuru: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested two persons on chargers of unauthorised sale of Railway E-tickets.

Sharwan Singh, who runs tea shop at Vijayanagar and Moolaram, who owns a mobile shop in Shivarampet are the arrested duo.

Acting on a tip off that the duo were selling E-tickets after unauthorisedly opening an IRCTC counter, the RPF officials raided the premises of the two accused.

During the raids, the RPF seized 93 E-Tickets valued at Rs. 2,54,354, a laptop and Rs. 560 cash from Sharwan Singh, while 53 E-tickets valued at Rs. 88,843, a computer and Rs. 1,260 in cash were sized from Moolaram. The raids were carried out by RPF Inspector Shivaraj and Staff.
