Two commit suicide in city

Mysuru:  In separate incidents, a woman and a man have committed suicide in Kuvempunagar and Nazarbad Police limits in city.

In the first incident, a 35-year-old woman, who was upset on being advised by her husband has committed suicide by hanging self at Srirampura in city.

The deceased is Vinutha Shetty, wife of Nagaraj, a resident of Srirampura 2nd Stage.

On Jan. 14 morning, Vinutha was beating her child, when her husband Nagaraj, told her not to beat the child and also advised her before leaving to Uttanahalli Temple. Upset over her husband’s advise, Vinutha committed suicide. A case has been registered at Kuvempunagar Police Station.

In the second case, an accused in a robbery, committed suicide at Gayathripuram in city on Jan.14.  The deceased is Narayana Nayak (32) of Gayathripuram. He has burglary cases registered against him at Bidadi and Ramanagar Police Stations. The reason for him to commit suicide is yet to be ascertained. Nazarbad Police have registered a case.
