Two-day South Zone Meet of Inner Wheel Clubs from tomorrow

Mysuru:  ‘Milestone’, a two-day South Zone Meet-2019 of Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India hosted by Inner Wheel District 318 of Mysuru, will be held in city on Sept. 7 and 8 at Asha Prakash Shetty Bunts Convention Centre in Vijayanagar.

Apart from delegates from Karnataka, the event will also be attended by members from States such as Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. Speaking to Star of Mysore, Convenor for the event PDC Naina Achappa said that the South Zone Meet was being hosted in the city for the first time and added that about 700 delegates would be attending.

The two-day event, which will be inaugurated on Sept.7 at 5 pm, will be graced by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev of Isha Foundation. Past International Inner Wheel President Dr. Pallavi Shah will be the guest of honour. Past Association President Shailaja B. Bhat will be special guest.

On the occasion, Inner Wheel District 318 will be launching the ‘Cauvery Calling Project… Plant a Tree, Save River Cauvery…’ — An initiative conceptualised by Isha Foundation which aims to plant 242 crore saplings on the banks of River Cauvery to increase the capacity of soil to retain water.

The Day-1 of the event will feature Golden Jubilee celebrations at 6 pm followed by entertainment at 7pm. It will also feature exhibition of specialities of the region such as variety of cuisines, sarees and handicrafts followed by various competitions like Mission Mamta Photo Contest, Royal Robe Designing contest and Together We Cook.

The Day-2 of the event will feature Pink Saree Walkathon for an Orphan-free India, Yoga demo by young achievers and Relaxation and Meditation with Omkara between 6 am and 8 am followed by various sessions from 10 am onwards.
