Two held for lifting bike during Yuva Dasara

Mysore/Mysuru: Saraswathipuram Police have arrested two persons on charges of lifting a bike during Yuva Dasara programme at Maharaja’s College Grounds and have recovered the stolen Hero Honda Splendor from them.

On Oct. 3 morning, when Constables Raghavendra and Harish Kumar were on the regular beat, they saw Sharath alias Yogesh of Ramakrishnanagar and Ravi of Jayanagar pushing the bike (KA-45-EA-7518) near the Government Printing Press in Saraswathipuram. The Constables identified Sharath, who had several robbery cases against him and took the two into custody.

During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of lifting the bike at Maharaja’s College Grounds and they were pushing the bike as the bike had ran out of petrol following which they were formally arrested.
