Two injured as huge branch falls on bike

Mysore/Mysuru: Two persons sustained injuries after a huge branch of a Gulmohar Tree fell on the bike they were riding on Vishwamanava Double Road here yesterday afternoon.

Bhanuprakash, an employee of City’s CFTRI, was proceeding on his bike along with his relative from Ramakrishnanagar side. When they were proceeding on Vishwamanava Double Road in Kuvempunagar, a huge branch of a Gulmohar Tree broke and fell on the bike at about 2.45 pm, resulting in the riders falling along with the bike and injuring themselves.

Passersby, Vinod and others, rushed the injured to the nearby Primary Health Centre (PHC), where they were provided first-aid and sent home. The bike has been damaged in the incident.
