Two killed after bike rams into canter vehicle

Mysore/Mysuru: Two youths from Kerala were killed on the spot after the bike they were riding rammed into a canter vehicle from behind near Kalasthawadi on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway yesterday morning.

The deceased have been identified as P.S. Nithin (21) of Edakkara town in Mallapuram district and Shaheen Shajan (21), a BSc Nursing student from Tiruvananthapuram in Kerala.

Nithin and Shaheen were proceeding on their KTM Duke bike (KL-02-BF-0209) from Srirangapatna side when they rammed into the canter vehicle (KA-02-D-7530) from behind at about 8.30 am.

The impact was such that both the rider and the pillion were killed on the spot, according to N.R. traffic Police, who have registered a case.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Parashuramappa and staff visited the spot. Spot mahazar was conducted and the bodies were shifted to MMC&RI mortuary where post-mortem was conducted and the bodies were handed over to the family members.
