Two killed as car rams into bike near Nanjangud

Nanjangud: In a ghastly road accident, two youths were killed when a car rammed into the bike at Sinduvalli near Nanjangud last night.

The deceased are Prasad (24), son of Mallanna, a KSRTC driver and Kiran (20), son of Nagaraju. Both are residents of Gundlupet.

The youths were proceeding on Nanjangud-Gundlupet Highway from Nanjangud side when a Volkswagon car (KA-05 ML-3241), coming from Gundlupet side, rammed into the bike resulting in Prasad being killed on-the-spot and Kiran died while being shifting to K.R. Hospital in Mysuru.

Soon after the accident, the occupants of the car are said to have left the car at the spot and went away. Nanjangud Circle Inspector Shekar and Sub-Inspector visited the spot.

A case has been registered at Nanjangud Traffic Police Station.
