Two Labour Inspectors suspended

June 4, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Cracking the whip on Government servants who display official apathy, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar on Wednesday suspended two Labour Inspectors of the city on charges of dereliction of duty.

Senior Labour Inspectors R. Ravi (Circle No.1) and Nikhil Chandra (Circle No.2) are the ones who are suspended.

The two, who were appointed as Nodal Officers to oversee the measures to be taken for addressing the grievances of  sheltered migrant workers in city, are accused of failing to discharge their duties.

Taking note of the negligence of Ravi and Nikhil, the DC ordered suspension of the two, as per the provisions under Sections 51(B) and 55(2) of National Disaster Management Act, 2005.
