Mysore/Mysuru: Two mobile phones were found with a jail inmate during a surprise inspection by a jail official on Aug. 6.

The official, who gave a surprise visit to Cell No. 7 on Aug. 6 night, found undertrial K.D. Lakshman alias Rakhi having one redmi phone, SIM card, two earphones and one charger hidden under the bed sheet and on further checking the cell, the officer found a Samsung phone and a SIM card in the dust bin.

Based on the complaint from Jail Superintendent K.C. Divyashree, Mandi Police, who have registered a case are investigating.
