Mysore/Mysuru: Two riders were killed in separate road accidents in city on Wednesday.

In the first case, a 35-year-old man was killed when another two-wheeler collided head-on with his bike on Gaddige Road on the outskirts of city on Wednesday night.

The deceased is Bharath, son of Ramakrishna and a resident of Manchegowdanakoppal in city.

On Wednesday night, Bharath was proceeding to Bettadabeedu village on his Hero Honda Passion Pro bike and when he neared Madalli village on Gaddige Road, a Bajaj Pulsar bike, which came from the opposite direction collided head-on with his bike. Due to the impact, both the bikes were dragged to a distance of about 30 ft., witnesses told the Police.

Bharath, who suffered serious injuries near his right thigh and bleeding profusely, was rushed to Apollo BGS Hospital and was later shifted to Suyog Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries Thursday morning, Police said.

The Bajaj Pulsar bike rider, who too sustained injuries in the accident, is undergoing treatment at Bridhavan Hospital.

The body of Bharath was shifted to MMC&RI mortuary, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members. Yelwal Police have registered a case.

In the second case, a watchman died of serious head injuries he had sustained after he lost control of his bike and hit a road divider near R.T. Nagar Circle on Wednesday evening.

The deceased is Jadeyappa, son of Krishnappa and a resident of P.G. Palya near Hanur in Chamarajanagar district.

Though Jadeyappa was rushed to a hospital, he succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

K.R. Traffic Police, who have registered a case, said that if Jadeyappa had worn a helmet he would have saved his life.

Due to severe head injuries and profuse bleeding, Jadeyappa breathed his last,                                            the Police added.
