Mysuru: Two young yoga exponents from the city — international world record holder Khushi Hemachandra from St. Joseph’s Central School, Vijayanagar and R. Ankitha, a Class 7 student of Anantha Geetha Vidyalaya, Vijayanagar 2nd Stage — have been selected as demonstrators at the Dubai International Yoga Camp to be held in July.
Ankitha professes in Rhythmic Yoga and has won gold medals across events in Singapore, Mumbai, Lucknow and Chennai, said the Principal of the school N. Arun Kumar.
Meanwhile, Khushi is participating in the International Yoga competition to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from May 8 to 18. She is at present training in Pune and will fly to participate in the competition on May 6, said her father Hemachandra speaking to Star of Mysore.
Both Khushi and Ankitha are training under Dr. P.N. Ganesh Kumar, an All India Yoga Federation (AIYF) senior trainer from the city. He told SOM here this morning that both Khushi and Ankitha will be demonstrating and helping yoga students prepare for the yoga championship at Dubai International Yoga Camp.
