Mysuru: In separate incidents, two youths have been run over by trains.
In the first incident, an unidentified youth, aged about 35 years, was run over by Bengaluru-Chamarajanagar Train near Mandya Railway Station on Monday. The deceased youth is round faced, 5.6 ft. tall, oily red complexioned, well-built, sports mustache and beard, has tattooed the name ‘Vinutha’ behind the palm of his right hand and ‘R. Shastry’ on his right arm and also a Shivalinga with a machete and a snake in the background. Another name ‘Kempamma’ is also found tattooed on his left arm.
Mandya Railway Police, who have registered a case, have shifted the body to Mandya District Hospital mortuary. The kith and kin of the deceased, if any, may contact Mandya Railway Police on Ph: 08232-222340, according to Mandya Railway Police PSI Krishnamurthy.
In the second incident, a call centre employee at Bengaluru and a native of Kerala, died, after coming under the moving train on Sunday night near Belagola in city. He was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
The deceased has been identified as P.A. Asees (27), son of P.S. Ashok, a resident of a village in Waynad district of Kerala.
Asees had come to Mysuru to see a friend and had gone to KRS backwaters with him (friend) on Sunday night where he had consumed liquor and later came under the wheels of the moving train and died. Mysuru Railway Police, who visited the spot yesterday, conducted mahazar. The body was handed over to the deceased’s family members after post-mortem.
