February 28, 2025

Mysuru: In a relief to Satish, the accused in the recent Udayagiri violence, which erupted after he had allegedly posted derogatory photo on a social media platform, a city Court has stayed his banishment order issued by the city Police.

Following the Udayagiri violence, in which people had pelted stones at Udayagiri Police Station after Satish posted the derogatory photo, the Police had arrested him and remanded him to Judicial custody.

Later, a city Court granted bail to Satish. Thereafter, the Police issued a notice to Satish on                      his banishment.

Following the notice, Satish’s advocate A.M. Bhaskar filed objection to the Police notice at the Office of the City Police Commissioner.

Subsequently, Bhaskar filed a petition in the Principal District and Sessions Court, questioning the Police move. The Court which heard the petition, stayed the banishment order, which has brought some relief to accused Satish.
