Ugadi, Allamaprabhu Jayanthi and Panchanga Shravana

Ugadi, Allamaprabhu Jayanthi and Panchanga Shravana programme will be held at Suttur Srikshetra in Nanjangud tomorrow (Apr. 2). Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion.

Early in the morning, Maharudrabhisheka will be performed at Katru Gaddige. Special pujas will also be performed at Sri Someshwara, Sri Mahadeshwara, Sri Veerabhadreshwara, Sri Nanjundeshwara and Sri Narayanaswamy Temples.

Srimutt’s and village’s honnaru bandis, along with Mangalavadya and art troupes, will leave from Srimutt, offer puja to Mother Earth, launch agri works of new year and return back to Srimutt after touching Katru Gaddige.

9.30 am: Vachana recital by music teachers and students of JSS Residential School; 10.30 am: Talk on ‘Allamaprabhudevara chintanegala prastutate’ by retd. ORI Director Dr. S. Shivarajappa. Interaction with Dr. K.G. Puttahonnaiah and reading of ‘Suttur Sri Shivarathreeshwara Panchanga.’
