Unhygienic roadside eateries mushrooming across city

September 21, 2022

Sir,

Of late, in every locality of Mysuru, by the side of main roads and Ring Road, mobile eateries and roadside canteens operating in temporarily built stalls have come up like mushrooms sprouting overnight on rain soaked soil. Though these eateries prepare spicy food and offer them at an affordable price for people, the area or place where they put up these eateries are very filthy and added to it are the dust and dirt generated by the moving vehicles.

The food is supplied in a very unhygienic manner. Now with Dasara round the corner and many people visiting Mysuru from surrounding villages and towns, the danger of epidemic of cholera etc.,  would be imminent.

Hence, I request the civic authorities concerned to go around on inspection and order closure of unhygienically operating roadside eateries or ask them to maintain cleanliness.
