Mysore/Mysuru: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh L. Mandaviya is likely to inaugurate the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) Wellness Centre in city on Sept.7.
Disclosing this to Star of Mysore this morning, Dr. T. S. Satyanarayana Rao, President of Central Government Pensioners Association (CGPA), Mysuru, said that “The Wellness Centre functions like a dispensary and offers free treatment, would benefit Central Government employees of Mysuru and surrounding places. They can now avail medical benefits in the city instead of going to Bengaluru. With this, a long-cherished dream of Central pensioners is becoming a reality.”
CGHS Wellness Centre will be opened at No.10, Block No.11 Dr. Rajkumar Road Siddartha Layout, near Teresian College, Mysuru. It will have a Medical Officer, Pharmacist, Staff Nurse and a Clerk. CGHS has empanelled a set of Private Hospitals where beneficiaries can undergo free treatment. In emergency situations, the beneficiaries can undergo treatment in Private Hospitals after obtaining a certificate that states that the treatment was obtained due to emergency condition and reimburse the medical charges.
