Nanjangud: United Breweries Ltd. and Credit-i institution donated 200 beds and bed sheets for the benefit of COVID-19 patients being treated in Nanjangud hospitals yesterday.

Speaking to press persons yesterday, Tahsildar Mohan Kumari said, “Due to increased number of infected patients, we are facing shortage of oxygen and other medical equipments. We had requested industrial units in the taluk to join hands with us and donate necessary items. United Breweries Ltd., located in Thandya Industrial Area of Nanjangud has donated 200 beds and bed sheets worth Rs. 7 lakh, which will be distributed to COVID Care Centres in Mahadevnagar, Muddahalli and Hosakote. Meanwhile, TVS company has donated 11 oxygen concentrators. Asian Paints has donated 20 oxygen cylinders while ITC Company has given UPSs for use in COVID Care Centres.”

United Breweries HR Manger Ashok Vitthal, Dr. Varsha of Credit-i, Manoj and Pavitra were present.
