Unscientific drainage work on Ramavilas Road

December 8, 2019

Sir,

Drainage work is under progress from Muda circle up to the junction of Dewan’s Road in Ramavilas Road. The drain constructed is a bit higher than the footpath and the footpath is a bit higher from the road level.

The rain water has no way to flow into the drain from the road side as there is no provision made for the flow and as a result the water will stagnate.

In fact I brought this fault to the knowledge of the supervisor on the spot but he could not understand the fault. Since the work is still going on, I request the City Corporation Engineer to visit the spot and set right the fault now itself instead of doing it after the ongoing works are completed thereby saving additional expenditure.

Hope the authorities concerned will take care of the observation and set right the anomaly now itself.
