Urgent need for streetlights

May 19, 2025

Sir,

This is to bring to your attention that SRS Prakruthi Nagara Layout, located in Ward No. 63, near Nachanahalli Palya Toll Gate on H.D. Kote Road, and falling within the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) limits, has no functioning streetlights.

Although lamp posts have been installed by the layout developer and fitted with LED lights, only a few are working. The majority of bulbs are either faulty or non-functional, forcing residents to walk along dark streets using mobile phone torches for visibility.

Despite repeated verbal complaints to elected representatives, no action has been taken.

I humbly urge the MCC authorities to inspect the area and promptly replace the faulty LED bulbs, ensuring adequate street lighting and public safety for the residents.
