Ursu Mandali demands naming  of Mysore Varsity after Nalwadi

November 4, 2018

Mysuru: The Ursu Mandali Sangha has urged the State Government to name University of Mysore (UoM) after Nalwadi Krishnaraja wadiyar.

In a press release, the Sangha said that considering the contributions of erstwhile Mysuru ruler Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar to the State, it would be apt to name Mysore University after Nalwadi.

Pointing out that it was Nalwadi who built the University of Mysore, which is one among the first Universities in the country, the press release stated that naming the UUniversity afterNalwadi would be a tribute to the erstwhile Mysuru Maharaja, who made immense contribution to the State, especially for Mysuru.
