Uttarakhand team in city on Natl. Youth Exchange Programme

Mysuru: As part of the National Youth Exchange Programme mooted by the Union Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, 55 youths from Uttarakhand State arrived in city this morning for a stay till Dec. 2.

The exchange programme envisages strengthening of bonding between two States, spreading message of National Unity and creating a platform to exchange cultural programmes, food habits, traditional rituals and development activities.

The delegation was accorded a warm welcome on arrival at the Youth Hostel in Saraswathipuram here by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) District Co-ordinator M.N. Nataraj. GSS Foundation’s Srihari, RiiiT Managing Director S.V. Venkatesh and others were present.

The delegation will participate in seminars, interactions and also visit tourist spots in and around city and also CFTRI, Silk Factory, Milk Dairy and other places before leaving for Mangaluru on Dec. 2.
