VachanaSahityaSamrakshanaDiwas in city on July 26

Marking the birth anniversary of Dr.PhakirappaGurubasappaHalakatti, the District Administration, in association with Kannada and Culture Department and Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies, will be celebrating ‘VachanaSahityaSamrakshanaDiwas’ at Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies in Manasagangothri, at 10.30 am on July 26.

District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will inaugurate the programme in the presence of Chief Minister Siddharamaiah and Animal Husbandry Minister K. Venkatesh. MLA K. Harishgowda will preside over the programme, which also features a seminar. Mayor Shivakumar, MPs PratapSimha, V. Sreenivasa Prasad and SumalathaAmbareesh will be present.
