The two-day valedictory function of University of Mysore’s (UoM) National Service Scheme (NSS) Golden Jubilee celebrations will be held on Feb. 12 and 13 at the Senate Bhavan in Manasagangothri campus, said Programme Co-ordinator Dr. B. Chandrashekar. Addressing a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here yesterday, Dr. Chandrashekar said that the valedictory function would be inaugurated at 10.30 am tomorrow by Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports Dr. G. Kalpana. Mysore University Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar will preside. NSS Programme Advisor Dr. Samuel Challaiah, Regional Director Khadri Narasimhaiah and others will be present. Continuing, Dr. Chandrashekar said that seminars on the topics ‘Role of Youths in Building the Nation’, ‘National Service Scheme’ etc. will be held from 12.15 pm. Dr. Gananatha Shetty Yekkar will preside. On Feb. 13 at 10.30 am, Varsity VC Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar will preside over the valedictory function. Dr. S.G. Ramadas Reddy, K.M. Prasanna Kumar, Dr. S.J. Raghavendra, Mahesh Urs and Dr. Ramesh Babu were present at the press meet.
